HASP HL Daemon RPM packages for Linux/x86 (July 2005)
=====================================================

These are the installation packages for Redhat/SuSE distributions:
aksusbd-redhat-1.8.1-3.i386.rpm
aksusbd-suse-1.8.1-3.i386.rpm

Two separate daemons are installed by each of the RPM packages:

(1)aksusbd for USB HASP access from Linux
(2)winehasp for HASP access from WINE.

If you require access to keys connected to the parallel port, you
must also install the aksparlnx package.

The following list includes improvements, bug fixes, and other relevant
information. It is arranged in descending chronological order.

Version 1.8.1-3
===============

The winehasp daemon is now included and installed along with the
aksusbd daemon.

Known Issues
------------

The command rpm -U (upgrade) does not work properly if the installed
package is a version below 1.8.1-2. This issue is caused by the
uninstall scripts of the older, installed package and must thus be
resolved manually.

To upgrade an aksusbd package older than 1.8.1-2, for RedHat use:

	rpm -e aksusbd-redhat
	rpm -i aksusbd-redhat-1.8.1-3.i386.rpm

For SuSE use:

	rpm -e aksusbd-suse
	rpm -i aksusbd-suse-1.8.1-3.i386.rpm
