HASPJava.dll - Windows JRE library libHASPJava.so - Linux JRE library libHASPJava.jnilib - Mac OS X JRE library Known Issues ------------ The current HASP Java API requires the HASP HL Drivers version 5.10, can't be used on Windows95 and Windows NT 4.0 and requires java 2 version 1.4 or newer. The present package contains the HASP HL Java samples together with the Aladdin Java Package and the JRE Libraries for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X. In order to be able to use the HASP Java API you need to copy the JRE libraries in the directory where the operating system dynamical libraries reside or in the java\jre\lib\i386 directory. Before compiling the samples with build_samples or mkjar you need to set the JDK environment variable to the path where java is installed. e.g. for Windows "set JDK=p:\java\j2sdk1.4" for Linux/Mac OS X "export JDK=/usr/java/j2sdk1.4" To build the samples run the build_samples script. To run the samples type: <path_to_java>\bin\java hasp_demo or <path_to_java>\bin\java hasp_update To run the applet sample in applet viewer do the following: 1. change the "file:/z:/sandbox/api/hhl/java/duke.store" to point to the directory where the store certificate will be generated. For this case to the current directory. 2. run the mkjar script. To build the applet do the followings: 1. run the mkjar.sh or mkjar.bat according to the OS type you perform the test on like in the previous section. 2. export the certifcate from the keystore: <path_to_java>\bin\keytool -export -keystore duke.store -alias duke -file duke.cer To run the applet do the following: 1. Install the certificate in your browser: Netscape/Mozilla: Edit->Preferences->Privacy&Security->Certificates Push the Manage Certificates button on the right pane side. Select the Other Peoples Tab Push the Import button and import the duke.cer certificate. InternetExplorer: Tools->Internet Options->Content->Certificates->Import and import the duke.cer certificate. 2. Load the hasp_demo.html and click YES when you'll be asked if you trust the duke certificate. Trademarks ---------- Aladdin Knowledge Systems Ltd. (c) 1985 - 2004.
