Quatech, Inc. Quatech Serial Device Server Driver Set for Windows NT4/2000/XP change history Last updated: July 2004 ========================================================================== Release 1.30 * The "friendly name" shown in Device Manager now includes the IP address. * The user interfaces in the Device Manager property sheet and associated dialog boxes are clearer and a bit more streamlined. * Added support for upcoming "-400" models. * Added real-time tracing instrumentation for troubleshooting purposes. (Disabled by default, enabled with help from technical support.) * If the SDS' IP address is changed after installation, the drivers will use the new address the next time the serial port is opened. (Previous releases required the drivers to be shut down and restarted, most easily done by rebooting the computer.) * Added support for unattended scripted installation to the local subnet. * Support for the Windows serial device enumeration filter driver, SERENUM, is now disabled by default. SERENUM was found to cause boot problems on some computers, depending upon the mix of attached serial peripherals. If you require this support, please refer to the QTETPT.INF file in the "Driver" subdirectory for details on how to edit that file and reenable SERENUM. * Fixed a bug that caused a system crash with STOP 0xD1 in TCPIP.SYS. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Release 1.21 * TCP auto-reconnect feature added. Drivers will attempt to recover a broken TCP connection if the serial port is open. * Support added for Windows NT4. * Fixed a bug that indirectly caused a system crash with stop code of either 0x0A or 0xD1. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Release 1.10 * Tightened up handling of atypical XON/XOFF cases. * Extended IOCTL_SERIAL_PURGE handling of clear commands to include the buffers resident in the SDS device in addition to the buffers in the driver. * Bug fix: Prexisting flow control were not being released when new flow control settings were sent to the driver by the application. * Bug fix: Characters marked with parity errors were being discarded if no error substitution character was defined by the application. These characters are now retained if no error substitution character is defined. * Enabled automatic detection of attached external modems (via serenum). -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Release 1.00 * Initial release.Download Driver Pack
