You should carefully read the following terms and conditions before using this software (P-Series Device Drivers). Unless you have a different license agreement signed by Elan Digital Systems Ltd. (Elan) your use of this software indicates your acceptance of this license agreement and warranty. Disclaimer of Warranty THIS SOFTWARE AND THE ACCOMPANYING FILES ARE SOLD "AS IS" AND WITHOUT WARRANTIES AS TO PERFORMANCE OR MERCHANTABILITY OR ANY OTHER WARRANTIES WHETHER EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED. Because of the various hardware and software environments into which this software may be installed, NO WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE IS OFFERED. Good data processing procedure dictates that any program be thoroughly tested with non-critical data before relying on it. The user must assume the entire risk of using the program. Usage The P-Series Device Drivers are only for use with Elan's range of P-Series hardware products. In this mode of use, there is no limit on the number of installations of the drivers so long as each installation is only for use with Elan P-Series hardware. Optional Licencing Arrangements Optionally the device drivers may be adapted by Elan to work with non-Elan hardware upon prior written agreement with Elan and after payment of an appropriate licence fee, the structure and level of which must be obtained from Elan and agreed in writing. Distribution / Resale of Drivers The P-Series drivers cannot be resold without the prior written consent of Elan with appropriate licensing provisions. The drivers must not be copied to third parties outside of the end-user's organisation. They must not be offered on any public network e.g. the Internet, unless access to them is controlled by an Elan approved means, as agreed in writing by Elan. Reverse Engineering No attempt may be made to decompile, single step, reverse engineer, debug, adapt or modify the drivers in any way. Doing so is a direct infringement of the licence conditions. Viruses Elan has taken reasonable steps to ensure that this software is virus free but cannot guarantee this fact due to reliance on 3rd party virus detection tools. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
