In this zip-file you can find three files: - instructions.txt (which you are reading now!) - se6000p_2k.exe (this is the Windows 2000 driver for Mustek ScanExpress 6000 P) - fixwinxp.exe (the tool that lets Win 2000 drivers work on Win XP machines) You need to unzip these files to a temporary location on your harddrive (e.g. "C:\temp scanner\") Than open fixwinxp.exe, choose your language, click OK and browse to the file se6000p_2k.exe which you've extracted a few minuts ago. Click OK, if you receive a System Error click continue or cancel DO NOT click abort or something. Click continue to start the installtion. When the installation is finished click OK. Restart your computer and everything should work. Good Luck!!! When the Win XP tool (fixwinxp.exe) doesn't seem to work you can try the method described beneath. This solution is given by Mustek and you can also find it on their website. Use this one if the above mentioned method didn't work and you know how to handle with editing the Windows registry. You can try following solution if the XP-Tool is not working: 1. Start Regedit 2. In HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version rename the key "ProduktName" from "Microsoft Windows XP" into "Microsoft Windows 2000" 3. install the Mustekdriver for Windows 2000 4. Undo the changes in the Registry. Written by Daan de Kok NetherlandsDownload Driver Pack
