		 OLIVETTI JP 270 DRIVER FOR WINDOWS 3.1/3.11  
		 ===========================================


	INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
	ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ
	To install the driver of your JP 270 into WINDOWS 3.1/3.11, you 
	have to use this diskette as a supplemental diskette of your 
	WINDOWS 3.1/3.11.
	Proceed as follows to install the driver and refer to the software 
	program documentation for further information:
	  - insert this diskette in your drive A: or B:
	  - run your WINDOWS 3.1/3.11
	  - run the Control Panel
	  - select the "printers" icon
	  - choose the "add" option
	  - select "Install unlisted or updated printer" in the list of 
	    printers
	  - select "Install" 
	  - in the windows "Install driver" select "Browse"
	  - in "Directory" double-click "win31en" then "Ok"
	  - select the printer model you have. Click "Ok" and choose "Setup".
	    
	
	MISCELLANEOUS NOTES
	ÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄÄ-
	FONT MANAGEMENT: In Landscape mode, the printer landscape fonts 
	(Courier internal) cannot be used, because the PCL3 mode does not 
	allow to print graphics in landscape. If you want to print in 
	landscape, the Windows screen fonts (True Type, bitmap) or 
	font-scaler programs like FaceLift (Bitstream), etc, must be used.
