               10/100M Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter Installation

 Installation Notes For Windows 2000 Users

    1. Start your PC, then insert the "10/100M Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter"
       into an available PC Card slot in your PC.

    2. After starting Windows 2000, the "10/100M Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter"
       will be detected automatically, then the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
       window appears.

    3. Insert the "10/100M Fast Ethernet PCMCIA Adapter" installation diskette
       into drive A:.

    4. Select the "Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended)",
       radio button, then click the "Next" button.

    5. Select the "Floppy disk drives" in Loacte Driver Files window,
       then click the "Next" button.

    6. Windows 2000 will start to search A: drive for network driver,
       and found a driver for this device.
       Click the "Next" button to install the driver.

    7. Click the "Yes" button to continue with the installation, when the
       "Digital Signature Not Found" window appears.

    8. The Windows 2000 starts to copy the driver to the user's hard disk.

    9. Click "Finish" button.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
