 1.0 Installation Notes For Windows 2000 Users

    1. Shutdown the computer and plug the "NSC DP83815 10/100Mbps MacPhyter3v
       PCI Adapter" into the PCI slot.

    2. After starting Windows 2000, the windows will detect automatically
       the new PCI Ethernet Controller, then the "Found New Hardware Wizard"
       window appears.

    3. Insert the "NSC DP83815 10/100Mbps MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter" diskette
       into drive A:, then click the "Next" button.

    4. Select the "Search for a suitable driver for my device(recommended)",
       radio button, then click the "Next" button.

    5. Select the "Floppy disk drives" in Loacte Driver Files window,
       then click the "Next" button.

    6. Windows 2000 will start to search A: drive for network driver,
       and found a driver for this device.
       Click the "Next" button to install the driver.

    7. Click the "Yes" button, when "Digital Signature Not Found" to
       continue with the installation.

    8. Windows 2000 will start to copy the "NSC DP83815 10/100Mbps MacPhyter3v
       PCI Adapter" driver to the user's hard disk.

    9. Click "Finish" button.

    When you need to change the speed and duplex for "NSC DP83815 10/100Mbps
    MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter".
    The following step will help you to finish the setting.

        1. Click on "Control Panel", then click on "System".

        2. Choose "Hardware" page, then click on "Device Manage..."

        3. Click on the "National Semiconductor Corp. DP83815 10/100
           MacPhyter3v PCI Adapter" selection in "Network adapters"

        4. Choose "Advanced" page to setting "Network Media":
                Auto Sense
                100BaseTX
                100BaseTX Full duplex
                10BaseT
                10BaseT Full duplex

           Choose the setting as you needed.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
