Shutdown the computer and plug the "ALTIMA Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" into the PCI slot. 2. After starting Windows 95 OSR2, the windows will detect automatically the new PCI Ethernet Controller, then the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window appears. 3. Insert the "ALTIMA Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" installation disk into floppy drive/CD-ROM drive, then click the "Next" button. 4. The Window 95 OSR2 will start searching for a network driver, and Windows displays the message: "Altima 1001 Gigabit Ethernet (IntegratedCopper)" or "Altima 1002 Gigabit Ethernet (IntegratedCopper)" 5. Click the "Other Location..." in the "Update Device Driver Wizard" window, then the "Select Other Location" window appears. 6. Enter Ex. "A:\WIN95" and click the "OK" button to install the "ALTIMA Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" driver. 7. Click the "Finish" button, then the Windows 95 OSR2 starts to copy the "ALTIMA Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" driver to the user's hard disk. 8. Windows 95 OSR2 prompt you: The file "A1KW95.SYS" on "ALTIMA Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" Driver Disk could not be found. Insert the Driver Disk into the floppy drive/CD-ROM drive, then click the "OK" button, fill the "Copy file from:" Ex. "A:\WIN95" Then click the "OK" button. 9. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
