¡á¡á¡á¡á¡á Intel(R) PRO/Wireless LAN 2100 3B Mini PCI Adapter Software Update ¡á¡á¡á¡á¡á

Wireless LAN Software is updated in order to support enhanced Wireless LAN Authentication and Encryption.

	   - NX, P, Q and M Series notebooks (802.11b ONLY)

	¡á Enhanced Wireless Authentication and Encryption Support 
	-  WPA2 (Wi-Fi Protected Access) and CCX (CISCO Compatible eXtention) Support

	¡Ø Note
	Security Authentication/Encryption for WPA and CCX may only be used in environments, which support each 
        type of authentication and encryption (Access Point which suporting WPA or CCX and Authentication Server, etc.).

¢Ã How to Update

	¡á Software Update

	1. 	Run Update.exe.

		¡Ø Note  
                If you want to install and use PROSet, please make sure the both driver and PROSet are being
                updated. (PROSet 7.1.4 MUST be used with v1.2.4.35 driver)

                Update.exe will check for the existance of previous version of PROSet installation in Notebook.
                If PROSet is being used previously, then it will automatically update both driver and PROSet.
		If not, Update.exe will only update the driver.

                However, You can manually select and install PROSet by double clicking PROSet.exe next time.
	
		¡Ø Note
	 	To use CCX in Windows XP, Install PROSet in order to configure CCX.
		
		For Windows 2000, run PROSet.exe for the proper OS from the downloaded PROSet folder to install PROSet.

	2. 	After installing the new software, restart the system. You will now be able to use wireless LAN.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
