*********************************************************** NetWare Client 32 for Windows 95 Installation Notes for the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter Updated February 1997 *********************************************************** General Installation ========================== 1. Run Novell's Install program for Client 32 2. Follow installation prompts. 3. Windows 95 will detect the adapter. 4. Select "Have Disk" and insert the NE10/100 ISA disk in the appropriate drive. The path to the driver file is: NWCLIENT.W95. 5. Follow the installation prompts. Note: If your intent was to install the ODI-16 driver, you must follow the steps above first. After rebooting, right click on Neighborhood. Click on the NE10/100Adapter and select Properties. An ODI tab will be displayed. Under the tab you will have the choice for ODI 16. Follow the prompts. You will need to have both the NE10/100 ISA disk and the Novell disk labeled LANDRV16 available. Removing an Existing NE10/100 Reference and Installing a New One ================================================================= Remove existing NE100I.INF file from the "\windows\inf" directory 1. Run "Setup" from "C32WIN\Win95\Network" or equivalent 2. Choose "Customize" when install is complete 3. In the Network Configuration Dialog: Choose "Add" Select "Adapter" Select "Have Disk" Place new the install disk into drive A of the Workstation Use default Drive A:\ Select OK to choose: "Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter" 4. Highlight previous NDIS driver. Double Click "Remove". Double Click "OK" 5. When prompted for the "Netware Client 32 for Windows" disk, Enter Copy files from: "C32WIN\Win95\Network" or equivalent When prompted for "Windows 95 CD-ROM", enter appropriate response 6. Remove Floppy from driver A: Choose YES in response to "Do You want to restart your computer now? New Hardware will be detected. Client32 is installed but not synchronized with the "New Hardware" until the machine is rebooted again. Note: To view the available keyword values supported by the NE10/100 ISA adapter, go back to the main menu of README and select Keywords or type the KEYWORDS.TXT file in the GENERAL directory. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
