********************************************************************* Information on Keywords Used For All Drivers Updated February 1997 *********************************************************************\ Keywords supported by the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Drivers Keyword: MEDIATYPE Description: Specifies which physical medium is attached to the adapter. The default is automatic configuration. Legal values: Auto (automatic configuration) Half10 (10BASE-T) Full10 (10BASE-T full duplex) Half100 (100BASE-TX) Full100 (100BASE-TX full duplex) Default: Auto Used By: All drivers Keyword: NETWORKADDRESS Type: Any legal Ethernet value Description: Overrides the NE10/100 adapter's unique Ethernet hardware address. Legal values: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx (an Ethernet hardware address, where xx is a hexadecimal byte value) Used By: NDIS3 drivers Keyword: NODEADDRESS Type: Any legal Ethernet value Description: Overrides the NE10/100 adapter's unique Ethernet hardware address. Legal values: xx-xx-xx-xx-xx-xx (an Ethernet hardware address, where xx is a hexadecimal byte value) Used By: All ODI drivers Keyword: RXEARLY Description: Use the RXEARLY keyword to DISABLE RX EARLY interrupt generation (pipelined processing of receive packets, also called Early Receives). Using RXEARLY ON improves performance by reducing receive latency, but increases the CPU overhead incurred by the driver. Legal Values: ON, OFF Default: OFF Used By: NDIS, ODI except OS/2 Keyword: SERIAL Type: 6 hexadecimal digits Description: Keyword is required when more than one NE10/100 ISA adapter is in the PC. The last 6 digits of the IEEE address of the adapter is the parameter for this keyword. The IEEE address is on a bar-coded 'MAC=" label on the adapter. Legal Values: XXXXXX - the six hex digits described above. For NDIS2 and NDIS3 preceed number with # sign. Used By: All drivers Keyword: USE32BITIO Description: Prevents driver from performing 32-bit I/O operations to the adapter. Some PCI/ISA motherboard chip sets have problems with this 32-bit operation and the results are data corruption. Legal Values: ON, OFF Default: OFF Used By: All Command Line Operaters for the Packet Driver -------------------------------------------- Operator: /? Description: Displays screen of valid Keywords Operator: FILENAME Description: specifies complete path to keyword file Operator: INTERRUPT Description: Specifies the software interrupt through which the packet driver will communicate. Legal Values: Any valid interrupt (0xnn) Default: 0x60 Operator: TERMINATE Description: Attempt to terminate the packet driver at the interrupt specified (must use Interrupt keyword for termination of drivers not at default interrupt. Default: 0x60Download Driver Pack
