******************************************************************** Windows NT Installation Notes for the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter Updated January 1997 ******************************************************************** If your system is not Plug and Play compatible, you must run the CONFIG program before starting operating system setup of the adapter. For more information, type GENERAL.TXT in \GENERAL or view the Plug and Play Notes section of README - General Introduction. CONFIG must be run under DOS. Installation Procedures for NT 3.5x ==================================== To install the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter and driver for use with Windows NT, do the following: 1. Install the adapter in your PC (for details, see the instructions in the User Guide). 2. Boot the computer using the Windows NT operating system. 3. Open the Control Panel, which is found in the Main program group of the Program Manager. 4. Start the Network control panel item. 5. Select: Add Adapter... option. In the list that appears, scroll to the bottom and select the option: <Other> Requires disk from manufacturer. Click on Continue. 6. In the dialog box that appears, enter the location of the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter driver disk. For example, if the driver Disk is in drive A:, type A:\WINDOWS.NT. After typing the file location, click the OK button. 7. In the list that appears, double-click on: Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter 8. Click on the OK button in the Network control panel window. Windows NT asks if you wish to reboot. You must reboot before the NE10/100 ISA adapter will function properly. Installation Procedures for NT 4.0 ==================================== 1. Click on Network Neighborhood. 2. Right click on the opened window. Alternately, you can click on Start in the Taskbar; then select Control Panel and Network. 3. Click on Adapters. Click on Add. Click on Have Disk. 4. At the prompt type: drive:Windows.nt. Drive = A or B Click on OK or press <Enter>. 5. Click on OK if you do not have multiple adapters installed. You may also click on Advanced Options and set keyword values, but the default values should be correct for most installations. 6. Click on Close. You may wish to bind the adapter to the appropriate protocols before Close (Bindings). 7. Reboot the computer. Note: To view the available keyword values supported by the NE10/100 ISA adapter, go back to the main menu of README and select Keywords or type the KEYWORDS.TXT file in the GENERAL directory.Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
