Windows 95 Installation Notes for the
Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter

Installation Procedures
========================

Note: These instructions assume you have already installed Windows 95.

1. Install the adapter in your PC (for details, see the instructions
in the User Guide).

2. Power on your machine.

3. After starting, Windows 95 will display a message indicating that 
new hardware was detected. The adapter name will be displayed. 

4. At the prompt: Select which driver you want to install
for your new hardware choose the default: Driver from disk
provided by hardware manufacturer. Press enter or click on OK.

5. When prompted, insert the NE10/100 ISA Driver Disk 1 in the drive.
Change the default path to drive:\WINDOWS.95. Drive = A or B.
Press enter or click on OK.

6. After Windows 95 completes initialization, you can enter the
Network Control Panel and configure any Protocols or Services 
you want to use with the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter. Press
enter or click on OK when finished.

7. When prompted, allow Windows 95 to restart the system to complete
the installation.

Note: To view the available keyword values supported by the
Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter, go back to the main menu in README
and select Keywords or type the KEYWORDS.TXT file in the GENERAL
directory.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
