LAN Manager 2.2 Installation Notes for the
Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter

IMPORTANT!
Before starting Installation, run the LANMAN.BAT file to expand the
directory structure to the format expected by LAN Manager.

If your system is not Plug and Play compatible, you must run the 
CONFIG program before starting operating system setup of 
the adapter. For more information, type GENERAL.TXT in \GENERAL
or view the Plug and Play Notes section of README - General
Introduction. CONFIG must be run under DOS.

New Installations: DOS or OS/2
================================

1. Follow the procedures outlined in the Microsoft Lan Manager 
Installation Guide for instructions on running the SETUP utility.

2. When SETUP prompts you to select a network adapter driver, choose
the OTHER DRIVER option and press ENTER or click on OK.

3. Insert the Microdyne NE10/100 ISA disk into drive A and press
ENTER or click OK.

4. The SETUP utility will display: Microdyne NE10/100 ISA Adapter
NDIS 2.0.1 Driver. Press ENTER or click OK.

5. Select the protocol you wish to use with the NE10/100 and 
then press ENTER or click OK.

6. Follow the rest of the instructions as per your LAN Manager
Installion Guide.

7. Installation complete. Reboot your machine to load the drivers.
										
For earlier versions of LAN Manager, refer to the Installion Guide   
for information on importing network drivers. The same steps are 
used if LAN Manager is already installed on your hard drive.

Note: To view a general description of the available keyword
values supported by the NE10/100 ISA adapter, go back to the main menu
of README and select Keywords or type the KEYWORDS.TXT file in the
GENERAL directory.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
