Installation Procedures for the Following Networks:
DEC Pathworks (Version 4.0)
DEC Pathworks (Version 4.1)
Your Ethernet Card will work with DEC pathworks using any NE2000
driver, or with LAN card supplied NE2NDIS.DOS NDIS driver. If you are
using another NE2000 NDIS driver, please use its name in place of
NE2NDIS in the instructions below.
******************************************************************************
* DEC Pathworks (Version 4.0)
******************************************************************************
1. Run NETSETUP.
2. Select "Ethernet Board".
3. Select "Other".
4. Select NDIS driver.
5. Insert your Driver Diskette into the A: driver.
6. Enter the path to the driver file as follows:
A:\NDIS\NE2NDIS.DOS
7. Select PROTOCOL.INI.
8. Enter the path to the PROTOCOL.INI file as follows:
A:\DEC
9. Continue with installation.
10. When the installation is complete, you may need to amend your CONFIG.SYS
to enable the Card. If your CONFIG.SYS does not contain software
to load socket and card services, as well as a card enabler, then
copy the file C1SC.EXE into the decnet directory and add the line
"device=c:\decnet\C1SC.exe"
before the line "device=c:\decnet\ne2ndis.dos".
If your PC contains PCMCIA software then check that it precedes the lines
added by NETSETUP.
11. Make sure the PROTOCOL.INI file created contains the same IOBASE, and
INTERRUPT numbers as specified by C1SC.
12. Reboot the PC.

Setting up files
Make a directory \DECNET on your hard disk, a floppy, or
whatever the CURRENT disk is. (if you're on E:, make E:\DECNET)
Copy the files from the floppy into this directory.
Copy or RENAME one of the .DAT files to DECPARM.DAT -If you
receive a message from DLLNDIS that says it couldn't find your
DECPARM.DAT file, be sure it's on \DECNET on the current disk.
(this can be moved if you want).
AUTOEXEC.BAT:
