To Update the driver for the LavaPort:

	Note: Before you can update the lavaport drivers, you need to make sure you have the updated drivers copied into a floppy disk.

Please follow the steps below:
1.) Click on the start menu => settings => control panel
2.) Go to System => hardware => device manager

Once in Device manager it will give you a list of all devices
3.) Click on Ports(Com & Lpt) => "Lava Port XSerial 650 PCI Port X"
4.) Right click and go to Properties => Driver => Update Driver

There will be an option to auto detect or to display a list of known drivers.
5.) Please choose "Display a list of the known device drivers for this device so that I can choose a specific driver"
6.) Insert the disk with the new driver files
7.) Have Disk => Browse => Go to the directory with the new lavaosp.inf and new lavaomf.inf files
8.) Click ok

Win2K automatically highlights the proper device to upgrade the driver so no need to change the highlight
i.e. "Lava Port XSerial 650 PCI Port X" should be highlighted
9.) Click ok. Then restart your computer.

Once the process has completed, there is no need to do the update again for all the other LavaPort PCI ports
on the same computer as it will automatically fix all of them. After you have restarted your computer the new
driver should be present and your system should work properly.

	NOTE: "LAVA PORT XSerial 650 PCI Port X" means to choose the correct port for the 650 serial board. i.e. a single serial 650 board LavaPort650 would only need to choose Lava Port SSerial 650 PCI Port". For the Lava Port Dserial 650 board, you would need to choose from Lava Port DSerial 650 PCI Port A or B.
