MDI Driver Installation for SCO OpenServer version 5.0

Getting Started
---------------
The necessary files for driver installation for SCO OpenServer are stored
in a self-extracting compressed format. The FA310TX SCO OpenServer driver
and the related files need to be extracted prior to driver installation.
Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Copy the compressed file SCO.EXE from the \SCO directory of the
driver diskette into your hard disk. Execute SCO.EXE at MS-DOS
prompt to extract the drivers. The SCO OpenServer driver and the
necessary files are stored in the \SCOOPEN sub-directory.
2. Copy all of the extracted files into a blank floppy disk and label
it "NETGEAR FA310TX driver for SCO OpenServer" .
3. Login SCO OpenServer as root user. (On maintenance mode)
4. Using "custom" to install the driver
A. Prepare an image file
Copy "f3a.img" onto SCO OpenServer and rename it to "VOL.000.000"
# mkdir /usr/test
# doscp a:/<PATH>/f3a.img /usr/test/VOL.000.000
<PATH> is the driver directory.
B. Execute "custom"

is located by specifying PCI Bus#, PCI Device# and PCI Function#.
Note: If you are not sure about the PCI parameters or your PCI Device#
can not be found in the list, leave them as default values.
Continue with the following installation. After the driver is
installed and the system re-linked, reboot the system. The driver
will search for the FA310TX Fast Ethernet card automatically.
"Advanced Options" let you specify what media type is connectted.
If you select it the following screen pop up.

Note: The IRQ number must match with the value set in ROM-BIOS
before you specify this value, please check it.
The IRQ for PCI bus can be accessed by pressing [DEL] key when
system is power on and choose the proper select item to set
IRQ for PCI bus.
Example: ROM PCI/ISA BIOS (2A4X5C31)

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
