Packet Driver Installation for FTP Software PC/TCP

Getting Started
---------------
The necessary files for driver installation FTP Software PC/TCP
are stored in a self-extracting compressed format. The FA310TX
packet driver files need to be extracted prior to driver
installation.
Installation Procedure
----------------------
1. Copy the compressed file PKTDRV.EXE from the \PKTDRV directory
of the driver diskette into your hard disk. Execute PKTDRV.EXE
at MS-DOS prompt to extract the packet drivers needed for FTP
Software PC/TCP package.
2. Two methods can be used:
METHOD 1:
---------
If the NGRPCI.SYS program is used, the following statement must be
included in your CONFIG.SYS file:
DEVICE = NGRPCI.SYS [/option] <packet_int_no>
<packet_int_no> is the software interrupt vector number used
by the packet driver program. This can be from
96 to 128.
/u Uninstall the previously loaded driver
/autosense Automatically senses the active line to deter-
mine the line speed (10 or 100 Mbps) the duplex
mode.
/tp Select twisted pair interface running in half
-duplex mode.
/tp_full_duplex Select twisted pair interface running in full
-duplex mode.
/line_speed=10/100 Select the line speed between 10Mbps or
100Mbps.
/slot=[1~f] Select the slot to work with.
METHOD 2:
---------
If the NGRPCI.COM program is used, execute NGRPCI.COM at MS-DOS prompt.

3. Execute the ETHDRV.EXE and IDRIVE.EXE device driver programs.
These programs are provided by FTP Software.
4. The PC/TCP network operating system and its associated programs
are now ready to use.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
