This file contains information pertaining to upgrading the bios on the Toshiba T4900 CT notebook computer. This fix has been designed to address a video signal timing problem that creates a severely shaded image on externally connected monitors. 1) Copy the files "BOOTBIOS.COM" and "CHGBIOS.EXE" to a floppy disk. 2) Remove disk from drive. 3) Reboot the computer. 4) While the computer reboots press and hold down the F-12 key. 5) System will prompt user for a change bios disk. 6) Insert floppy and press any key. 7) Computer will report a successful upgrade and prompt the user to reboot the computer. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
