6. FIXES IN THIS RELEASE

6.1 The list of available networks no longer clears if opened for a
    few minutes.

6.2 Avaya Management Utility now displays 54Mbps rather than 11 Mbps
for client cards associated with an Access Point in 802.11b/g mode.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

7. KNOWN ISSUES

7.1 Management Utility Upgrade may lose 802.11a Turbo Mode setting
    in Profile

If you upgrade from the previous version of the Avaya
Management utility, the original Profiles will be preserved
but you may lose 802.11a Turbo mode setting. This is because
the new driver will check EEPROM for Turbo mode support. If your
card does NOT enable Turbo mode capability in EEPROM, then the
Avaya Management Utility will pop-up a warning dialog to inform
you that Turbo will be suppressed.

Workaround: Go back into the Profile and enable Turbo Mode.

-------------------------------------------------------------------

8. UPGRADE FROM RELEASE 2.0 TO THIS RELEASE

Instructions for upgrading from Release 2.0 to Release 2.3 or
higher are found in Appendix D of the Avaya Wireless 802.11a/b
    User's Guide.

9. APPLICATION NOTES

9.1 Compatibility with Cisco VPN Client (Version 3.6) under Windows XP

Cisco VPN Client installs a "Deterministic Network Enhancer" device
driver. This device driver can cause your system to become unstable
if you are using Windows Wireless Configuration Tool. It is
recommended that you do NOT use the version 3.6 Cisco VPN Client
over the Avaya 802.11a/b Card while using the Windows Wireless
Configuration Tool. If you are using Windows Wireless Configuration
Tool, you can unbind the device driver with the following steps.

Steps to unbind "Deterministic Network Enhancer":
    1. Open Network Connections from Control Panel.
    2. Find the Wireless Network Connection corresponding
       to the Avaya 802.11a/b Card.
    3. Right mouse click and select "Properties".
    4. This will bring up "Wireless Network Connection Properties" dialog.
    5. Under "This connection uses the following Items",
       see "Deterministic Network Enhancer".
    6. Uncheck "Deterministic Network Enhancer" from the list of items.
    7. Click OK

9.2 Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration Tool may not show all Access Points

The Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration utility
may not find all available Access Points on the network when your
wireless network has a large number of 802.11a and 802.11b access
points. The Microsoft Wireless Zero Configuration Tool allows
approximately 3 seconds to complete a scan for available access
points. However, more time may be required to scan all 802.11a and
802.11b channels. You should use the Avaya Management Utility or
specify the network name manually in the Windows XP Wireless Zero
    Configuration.
