Added new metric version of Nautical units that underflows distance measurements to meters instead of feet. 4. Elevation units no longer overflow to a larger unit of measure when the value gets large. For example, if you are using Statute units and your elevation rolls over from 999 ft to 1000 ft, the unit will now display 1000 ft, rather than 1.0 kft. 5. This should allow for backwards compatibility with a wider range of NMEA driven products, including some older AutoPilots. 3. Corrected possible highway page lockup bug. 4. Corrected "Light" string translation for Danish language so that it now properly indicates reference to the unit's backlight. 5. Improved Store Demonstration Mode behavior for language selection and backlight level settings. 6. Removed general hotel reservation phone number from Metro Guide data review pages, as the number is no longer valid. 7. Fixed an error that prevented the Arrival alarm from re-triggering during a Go To operation if the distance option was selected and the distance value was changed. 8. Corrected the drawing of the horizontal route line that used to be strangely vertical drawn when the view is zoomed to 20ft. 9. Corrected the case usage in map setup page. 10. Corrected the anchor drag alarm so that it will go off again after leaving the alarm circle then coming back in. 11. Corrected the possible lockup bug in backlight in Disclaimer page. 12. Corrected the set year page forces the year to 2000 if year less than 2000 is entered. 13. Corrected the map so that it won't have expiring unlocks. 14. Allow individual classes of NMEA sentences to be enabled and disabled. 2. Added support for GPBWC, GPXTE and GPVTG NMEA sentences. 3. Added 'Point to on Map Page' option to map-based map feature review page. 4. Pressing the 'Left' or 'Right' cursor keys in most lists now scrolls the list a page at a time. 5. Improve collection of WAAS data when tracking more than one WAAS satellite. 6. Fixed possible lockup when calculating sun/moon rise and set times for extreme latitudes. 7. When editing a non-active route on the map, don't automatically initiate navigation of that route. 8. Added RT-90 Grid. 9. Improved appearance of directional pointer data field. 10. Fixed TracBack point review page problem that caused an invalid position to be displayed. 11. Corrected differential status text discrepency between GPS page and Com page. 12. Reduced the amount of path smoothing done when saving tracks. 13. Changed skyview moon on celestial page from crescent shape to a half-moon shape to avoid confusion that the skyview is trying to show the actual moon phase. 14. Fixed GPS page Signal-to-Noise Ratio update problem that occured if the unit was receiving RTCM signal while the protocol was switched from RTCM to some other protocol not supporting RTCM. 15. Added support for RTCM In/NMEA Out serial data format. 16. Changed "Serial #" to "Unit ID" on System Information page. 17. User waypoint depth is now always initialized to invalid instead of 0.0 if a valid depth is not being received via NMEA input. 18. Some position grids now have a fixed map datum associated with them, meaning the user cannot configure the map datum when some grids are selected. 19. Corrected the use of magnetic variation in the GPBOD (application to bearing) and GPRMB NMEA output sentences so that the Auto Mag Var value is used unless the unit is set to User Mag Var, in which case it should use the user's value. 20. Improved responsiveness of GPS positioning in shaded conditions. 21. Changed both Swedish and new RT-90 grid text outputs to display the northing on top and the easting on bottom, which is reversed from the way it was previously displayed. Download the appropriate self-extracting archive file onto your hard drive. 2. Unzip the files in the archive by running the downloaded executable file. 3. Connect your unit to a free serial port (Com 1, 2, 3, or 4) on your PC with a PC interface cable. 4. Turn on your unit and ensure the Serial Data Format is set to "Garmin Data Transfer". You can find this setting in the Main Menu on the "Comm" tab. 5. Change to the directory in which you unzipped the files, (i.e., C:\GARMIN), and run the update program, updater.exe. Select the appropriate serial port and click "OK" to begin the software upload. During the upload, the display will indicate "Software Loading...." The upload process should take 2-5 minutes to complete. When the upload is completed, the unit will reset itself and turn on normally. ------------------------------------------------------------Download Driver Pack
