Warnings:

If this software is uploaded to a unit other than the product for
which it is designed, you will not be able to operate that unit.

If repeated software upload attempts fail, you may need to return
the unit to GARMIN for service.

------------------------------------------------------------
Notes:

Due to hardware changes in the FF240, there are two different software builds
for the unit.

To know which software to download to the unit:

If the current software version in the unit is less than 2.10, and
the serial number of the unit is equal to or less than 50139999, the latest
software version is 2.04.

If the current software version in the unit is equal to or greater than 2.10,
and the serial number of the unit is greater than 5013999, the latest software
version is the most recent version in the change history below.

------------------------------------------------------------
Change History:

Version 2.32 to 2.40:

1.	Updated the French translation.

2.	Updated company name and copyright information.

3. Added a lower limit to gain stepping when trying to reacquire the bottom in
	shallow water.

---------------------
Version 2.31 to 2.32:

1. Corrected invalid speed calibration if calibration process is cancelled.
Completing the speed calibration process did not result in the error so
there is no need to recalibrate with this software update if previous
	calibrations were not cancelled.

2. Improved update efficiency by reducing the number of STC computations needed.

3. Corrected blanking error when a zoomed sonar image undergoes a range change.

4. Added more filtering to water temperature.

5. Improved noise rejector some. Now less likely to reject weak signals when
	rejection isn't necessary.

6. Corrected drawing transform of the medium fish ID icon. It was working by
accident, now it works on purpose.

---------------------
Version 2.30 to 2.31:

1.	Turn off transmitter if unit is powered on in an overvoltage condition.

---------------------
Version 2.12 to 2.30:

1. Cleaned up the appearance of the lower case "u" character
    in some fonts.

2. Made the appearance of large number characters more
    consistent with the smaller sizes.

3. Improved the appearance of the slider field when the slider
is at the end of the slot.

4. Changed the interface method for noise rejection to be a
manually adjusted slider instead of a fixed list of
pre-determined levels. Auto noise rejection operation did
    not change.

5. Made digital depth acquisition faster for shallower depths.

6. Fixed a problem where digital bottom tracking could attempt
to track with an invalid tracking table index resulting in
incorrect sonar receiver settings for the current water depth.

7. Improved contrast of the bottom at deep depths.

8. Made receiver bias calculations less sensitive to voltage
    transients.

---------------------
Version 2.24 is an engineering test version.

---------------------
Version 2.11 to 2.12:

1.	Improved transmitter performance.

---------------------
Version 2.10 to 2.11:

1. Increased the default contrast.

---------------------
Version 2.10 is the initial release version.

------------------------------------------------------------
Upload Instructions:

Windows 95/98/NT:

setting in the Setup menu on the "System" tab.

5. Change to the directory in which you unzipped the files, (i.e., C:\GARMIN),
and run the update program, updater.exe. Select the appropriate serial
port and click "OK" to begin the software upload.

During the upload, the display will indicate "Software Loading...."
The upload process should take 2-5 minutes to complete. When the upload
is completed, the unit will reset itself and turn on normally.
