To view the software version, do the following: 

1. Press the SETUP key.
2. Select the Memory tab.
3. Select the Software Version button.
4. Press the ENTER key.

If this software is uploaded to a unit other than the product for
which it is designed, you will not be able to operate that unit.

If repeated software upload attempts fail, you may need to return
the unit to GARMIN for service.

Change History:

Version 2.04 to 2.10:

1.  Update the French translation.

2.	Allow the unit to reacquire the bottom faster when moving quickly over
	large changes in bottom depth greater than 200ft (60m).

3.	Speed up re-acquisition by not alternating frequency unless the user has
	chosen dual frequency mode.

4.	Updated company name and copyright information.

5.  Added a lower limit to gain stepping when trying to reacquire the bottom in
	shallow water.

Upload Instructions:

Instructions for uploading the new software to your FishFinder using Microsoft
Windows 95/98/NT:

1.  Download the appropriate self-extracting archive file onto your hard drive.

2.  Unzip the files in the archive by running the downloaded executable file.

3.  Connect your unit to a free serial port (Com 1, 2, 3, or 4) on your PC with
    a PC interface cable.

4.  Turn on your unit and ensure NMEA Output is set to "OFF". You can find this
	setting in the Setup menu on the "System" tab.

5.  Change to the directory in which you unzipped the files, (i.e., C:\GARMIN),
    and run the update program, updater.exe.  Select the appropriate serial
    port and click "OK" to begin the software upload.
    
    During the upload, the display will indicate "Software Loading...."
    The upload process should take 2-5 minutes to complete. When the upload
    is completed, the unit will reset itself and turn on normally.
