Xircom Modem Installation Instructions for a Generic Windows 95 environment

1. Right-click on 'My Computer' and select 'Properties'.
2. From the 'System Properties' window, select the 'Device Manager' tab.
3. Double-click on 'Other' devices and select "PCI Serial Controller". Click
the 'Properties' button.
4. At the 'PCI Serial Controller Properties' window select the 'Driver' tab and
click the 'Update Driver' button.
5. At the 'Update Device Driver Wizard' window, select "Yes" and click 'Next'.
6. At the next window click the 'Other Locations' button and enter the path:
C:\NECApps\Xircom\modem
and click 'OK'.
7. At the next window click 'Finish'.
8. You will be prompted to insert the "Xircom Install Disk"; click 'OK'.
9. You will have to re-enter the path from step 6.
10. Close the 'Xircom MPCI+Modem 56 WinGlobal Properties' window.
11. Close the 'System Properties' window.
12. Setup will be complete.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
