          Printronix P5000 SBCS WINDOWS 2000 DRIVER V5.0

P5000 SBCS Windows NT Driver refers to as P5000 Thai LP+

Installation Instructions:


Place the driver disk in the drive A of your Windows2000 System.  From the 
Start->Settings->Printers menu, double click on the "Add Printer" icon and 
follow the "Add Printer Wizard" instructions until completed.

During installation, you will be required to select one printer model from 
"Add Printer Wizard": 
"Printronix P5000 Thai(P-Series)" and 
"Printronix P5000 Thai(LQ)"

If you have set the printer protocol to "P-Series", then you should choose
"Printronix P5000 Thai(P-Series)";
If you have set the printer protocol to "LQ", then you should choose
"Printronix P5000 Thai(LQ)";

Printronix P5000 Thai Printer Protocol is set to "P-Series" by default

User Hints:

A) If the installation does not finish successfully and Windows complains
   that the driver can not be installed because it couldn't be loaded, or 
   the driver is busy being used by other application. close all the 
   applications, login as administrator, then, reinstall the printer driver.

   
B) Some Printer Driver Properties, such as Graphics Resolutions, you may 
   make change of the settings through "Advanced" property sheet or through 
   Applications.
   eg. Microsoft Word:
   Select the Menu "File" -> "Print..." -> "Properties", then you may change
   the graphics resolution. Upon finishing, click "close", make the changes
   effective.


C) The page parameters such as paper size, orientation also should be set
   properly from within your Windows application(i.e. MS Word's page setup, 
   etc...) before you print the documents


D) If the printer does not work properly, check the printer front panel and the 
   driver you are using. They should be the same protocol.  
   If the printer protocol is set to "P-Series", then use the driver for 
   "Printronix P5000 Thai(P-series)"; If the printer protocol is set to "LQ", 
   then use the driver for "Printronix P5000 Thai(LQ)".
