REMOVING THE PC Administration SOFTWARE ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If desired, the PC Administration software can be removed from your PC's hard disk using the UnInstaller placed in the PC Administration (Remote Administration in R5.0 and earlier releases) program group/application folder. You may choose to remove the files and program icons manually but there are many components to remove. 2.1 Information on the UnInstaller Important considerations while using the UnInstaller: - If you cancel while running the UnInstaller, you may not be able to run UnInstaller again. You may also find pieces of the Remote Administration software still installed. Your best bet at this point is to install the software again, run the UnInstaller, and allow the UnInstaller to complete its operation. When the UnInstaller has completed its operation, the PC Administration software will have removed itself. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3. INFORMATION ON LABEL PRINTING CAPABILITY ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This release still provides the capability of launching a third-party label printing software application as long as the label printing application supports the importing of a button information text file generated by PARTNER PC Administration. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 4. LIMITATIONS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- PARTNER PC Administration has some limitations. Using this application, you will be unable to: - perform a Frigid Start - print a new header on a Call Reporting (or SMDR) report - record and play back the message that callers hear when a call is answered by the Automatic System Answer feature (Automatic System Answer Record/Playback) - record and play back the message that callers hear when a call is answered by the Direct Extension Dial feature (Direct Extension Dial Record/Playback) - program the buttons on a PARTNER-CA48 Call Assistant Intercom Autodialer - change the PC Administration Password (#730) for the PARTNER system However, you can perform these functions locally at your PARTNER system. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 5. UPGRADE INSTRUCTIONS ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you currently have a previous version of the PARTNER ACS PC Administration Application, you will need to uninstall the previous version first. Follow the uninstall instructions in Section 2. Note: THE UNINSTALL OF THE OLDER VERSION OF THE APPLICATION DOES NOT AFFECT ANY OF THE PREVIOUSLY SAVED SYSTEM TRANSLATION AND MAINTENANCE FILES.
