-------------------------------------------------------------------
2. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
2.1 Operating System
This Driver is for the Microsoft Windows NT4 Operating System.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
3. NEW IN THIS RELEASE
* Now supporting Ruby PC Cards.
* Enabled both IEEE 802.11 client mode and Outdoor Router Client
mode without re-installing the driver
* IEEE 802.11 client mode matches the 7.02 release of
the Agere NDIS driver
* New release of the PC Driver requires use of new
PC Driver license keys. The new license keys are
of the form 'SHKG-A105-CA40-42L9-AKDJ'. Notice that
the new license key is visibly different from older
license keys.
- New license key DOES NOT protect the System Access
Pass Phrase.
- New license key contains the Data Rate throttle
embedded inside of it, so the user does not
have to enter the Data Rate separately
* Added OR Client Frequency Channel Auto-Select functionality
for automatically detecting the frequency channel the
ISP Base Station is running on. This makes installation
and migration to different frequency channels much
easier to manage.
- For OR Client Frequency Channel Auto-Select to work
correctly, the NWID and Frequency Channel numbers MUST
match (i.e. Frequency Channel 6 and NWID 6). If the
channel number and NWID used by your ISP Base Station
are not the same number, then the PC driver WILL NOT
correctly establish a connection when Channel
Auto-Select is enabled.
- For Frequency Channel Auto-Select to work, you MUST run
kernel version 3.88 or higher on your ISP Base Station.
- The PC Driver will work correctly with all existing
ISP Base Stations when Frequency Channel Auto-Select is
DISABLED.
* Solved a bug where the OR Client PC Driver could hang
the user's PC under certain conditions, including when
the output queue fills (e.g. if the connection with the
ISP Base Station was lost).
* Fine-tuned the data rate throttling mechanism to
obtain more accurate throttling, and to correctly
throttle at speeds above 1 Mbps.
* Increased OR Client performance by up to 20%.

4. INSTALLATION NOTES
4.1 Standard Installation
Please refer to the install.txt file.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
5. TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS
5.1 Compatibility with previous ISP Base Station versions
The Frequency Channel Auto-Select feature IS NOT compatible
with older versions of OR Client ISP Base Station software.
All other features should work with older ISP Base Stations.
5.2 Frequency Channel Auto-Select
* For OR Client Frequency Channel Auto-Select to work
correctly, the NWID and Frequency Channel numbers MUST
match (i.e. Frequency Channel 6 and NWID 6). If the
channel number and NWID used by your ISP Base Station
are not the same number, then the PC driver WILL NOT
correctly establish a connection when Channel
Auto-Select is enabled.
* For Frequency Channel Auto-Select to work, you MUST run
kernel version 3.88 or higher on your ISP Base Station.
* The PC Driver will work correctly with all existing
ISP Base Stations when Frequency Channel Auto-Select is
DISABLED.

6. KNOWN ISSUES
6.1 I/O Port conflicts under MS-Windows NT4.
When your Avaya Wireless Card's installation completed successfully,
but it does not become operational, you are advised to try a
different I/O Port value.
6.2 IRQ conflicts under MS-Windows NT4.
When your Avaya Wireless Card's installation completed successfully,
but it does not become operational, you are advised to try a
different IRQ value.
6.3 Avaya Wireless Add/Edit profile does not appear upon installation
The Avaya Wireless driver requires Windows NT Service Pack 4 or higher.
In case you are running SP3 or lower, your Windows NT system
does not provide the Windows system DLLs required to make the
Add/Edit profile window work.
You can resolve this error by either:
* Installing Microsoft Windows NT Service Pack 4 or higher
(SP 6 is recommended),
* (Re-)installing the latest Client Manager, or
* Run the patch comupd50.exe provided on the installation CD.
