Revised Sspcmcia.vxd to allow streaming of data to 115k with pcmcia cards. Updated Sscardui.dll and Ssenum.vxd. Known issues 1. Installation of cards both placed in the PC simultaneously (1 port PCI 422 and 2 port PCI 422) does not guarantee the correct port dll will be installed. The work around for this is to install each card individually. 2. Half duplex/ full duplex radio button defaults constantly to half duplex when opening ports in device manager for the 15M &18M 422 cards (sscardut.dll). Full duplex does work but has to be set if ports in device manager is opened. 3. 3port rs232 and 4 port rs232 display baud rate multiplier buttons in multifunction devices in device manager. The operation of these buttons will not affect the card but should not be present. 5. ISA non-velocity 422/485 cards (cc-131, cc-057) should use archive version 1.0 for correct half duplex operation. Release 2.64 ------------ Added support for the 18MBaud card. Its extended features have not been included yet. Added support for 1 port 422 Pcmcia card with PNPID=D101. Release 2.63 ------------ Made installation single OS only. This revision has been seen (notably in Windows 98 v4.10.2150.4) to produce blue screen errors when installing printer ports in Windows98. The problem is still under investigation. the short term fix is to first take a backup copy of your lptenum.vxd file in the windows\system directory and then paste the supplied lptenum.vxd file in its place. This revision has been tested with 1 port PCMCIA cards in Windows Millenium Beta1 edition with no apparent problems Release 2.62 ------------ Added support for 1-port velocity Pcmcia RS232 and 1-port Pcmcia RS422. Release 2.61 ------------ Win98 blue screen bug cured by omitting vcd as a contention manager for Brainboxes ports, therefore 2 different directories exist for Win95 and 98. With some versions of Win98 (notably 4.10.2150.4), installation of Brainboxes printer ports resulted in a blue screen, to overcome this problem an Lptenum.vxd is supplied in the Win98 directory with this installation. Copying this version of Lptenum.vxd into the system directory solves this problem. Release 2.60 ------------ Added support for 2-port RS422 PCMCIA cards. 1MBaud support is per port basis. Automatic flow control feature also included. Release 2.59 ------------ Completed support for 2-port PCMCIA RS232 cards. Both ports can now be opened separately. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
