Installing Audio Drivers
1. Insert the sound card in a free ISA slot.
2. Turn the computer on.
3. Double click on "Multimedia icon" in control panel and click on the devices tab.
4. Click on the Add button. Choose "unlisted drivers" and click on OK.
5. A dialog box will appear and request the path of location of the drivers files. choose "a:" and click on OK.
6. Another dialog box appears with the "Maxi Sound 16 PnP" label. Choose OK to continue.
7. If your BIOS system can't support "Plug-aNd-Play", the "Business Audio Setup" dialog box
appears and you can configure the different resources.
8. Windows NT can ask you to reboot the system, do it.
Installing Compatible MPU-401 Driver (for 32 PnP and 16 PnP with daughter board)
NOTE: You will need your WindowsNT 4.0 installation disc(s).
1. Double click the Multimedia icon in the control panel and click on
the Devices tab.
2. Upon clicking the ADD button, the ADD dialog box will appear.
3. Scroll down the list of drivers until you find the one labeled
MPU-401 Compatible Driver. Selected and press OK.
4. A dialog box will appear and request the path of the location of the
drivers to be installed. Place your installation CD or Setup Disk #2
on the corresponding drive and press OK (the default path is the
i386 directory).
5. The Generic MPU-401 Setup dialog box will pop up. To select the
default configuration resources, press OK.
7. Install the device "MIDI pour Low level Wave, MIDI and AUX support" like above.
6. WindowsNT will ask you to restart your system. Press the Restart Now
button.
Installing Compatible Joystick Drivers
NOTE: You will need your WindowsNT 4.0 installation disc(s).
1. Double click the Multimedia icon in the control panel and click on
2. Upon clicking the ADD button, the ADD dialog box will appear.
3. Scroll down the list of drivers until you find the one labeled
Microsoft Sidewinder 3D Pro Joystick. Selected and press OK.
4. The Install Driver dialog box will appear and request the location of
the driver files. Place your installation CD or Setup Disk #2
on the corresponding drive. The default path to the Microsoft
Sidewinder Joystick drivers is the i386 directory.
5. Once you have found the driver, press OK to complete the installation.
6. WindowsNT will ask you to restart your system. Press the Restart Now
button.
Un-installing MAXI SOUND 16 PnP Audio Drivers
1. Double click the Multimedia icon in the control panel and click on
the Devices tab. Double click on the Audio Devices entry and then
select Audio for CrystalWare Audio Driver.
2. Press the REMOVE button. Verify your decision by pressing the YES
button of the REMOVE dialog box.
3. The System Setting Change dialog box will appear and ask you to
restart WindowsNT. Press the Restart Now button.
Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
