1. Introduction

This Ethernet Packet driver conforms to FTP Software Public Domain Packet
Driver Specification Revision 1.09 (Sep. 15, 1989). It supports many
network applications, such as FTP Software PC/TCP, NCSA TCP/IP, Wollongong
Pathway Access and NetWare for DOS workstations.

2. Contents of the Subdirectory

PNPPD.COM The Packet driver for the AT-2000PNP Ethernet
                   Adapter.

3. Installation

   1) Install the AT-2000PNP Ethernet Adapter on your PC system
following the procedure described in your installation manual.

   2) Install the network operating system you are going to use.

   3) Copy PNPPD.COM to the directory that is created while you are
      installing your network system.

   4) Follow the instructions given in your network application menu to
alter your system configuration file, then reboot the PC.

   5) Do one of the following to load PNPPD.COM.

      - If the Operating Mode in DIAG has been set as Plug & Play
mode, you should type as follows at the DOS prompt:

          PNPPD Packet_Int

        where:

Packet_Int The software interrupt number. The range is from
0x60 to 0x80 (Hex). This is a compulsory parameter.
                       The default is 0x60.

      - If the Operating Mode in DIAG has been set as Jumperless mode,
you should type as follows at the DOS prompt:

          PNPND Packet_Int [IRQ_NO] [IO_BASE]

        where:

Packet_Int The software interrupt number. The range is from
0X60 to 0X80 (Hex). This is a compulsory parameter.

IRQ_NO The network adapter interrupt request line. The
valid range is from 2 to 15 and the default is 3.
                       This is optional.

IO_BASE The I/O port address of the network adapter. The
valid range is from 200h to 3E0h. This is optional.

4. Unload

To remove the packet driver from the main memory, run PNPPD with '-u'
at the DOS prompt, as shown below.

          PNPPD -u <Packet_Int>

     where:

Packet_Int The software interrupt number specified during
installation. This is a compulsory parameter.
