5. TECHNICAL CONSTRAINTS
5.1 Access Server
These versions of the AS Client will provide seamless handoff between
Access Servers only with AS-2000 software versions 2.01 or above. They
will connect but not support handoff when used with AS-2000 software
versions 1.56 or 1.56.02.
5.2 International Versions of Microsoft Windows
In previous versions of the AS Client some international versions of MS
Windows were not supported. Version 2.10 universal installer was
designed with the intent to support all international versions and
compatibility should not be dependent on the international version. Although
we have not tested with all international versions and combinations of the
operating system, we believe that most versions will be supported. We have
not encountered in version 2.1 an international version with which the AS Client
was not compatible.
5.3 Support for Embedded Mini-PCI cards In Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000
Support for Embedded Mini-PCI cards in Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 is provided in
Release 2.15. However, this has only been verified with Windows 98 and 2000
using the Dell Embedded Mini-PCI and Intel(R) PRO/100 + MiniPCI cards.
5.4 Support for OEM NIC cards In Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000
Support for OEM NIC cards in Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000 is provided in Release
2.15. This functionality has only been tested with Avaya and Compaq OEM NIC
cards.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
