This file is the readme for Avaya software Release 2.5 for the Avaya 4625 IP Telephones. 

There are a number of files that apply to the Avaya 4625 IP Telephone. 

Files for 4625:
b25d01a2_5.bin   (Boot Burner + Boot Application)
a25d01a2_5.bin   (Supports English Character Set)
46xxupgrade.scr - The script the IP Telephones will download. 



KNOWN ISSUES IN R2.5(GA RELEASE)
.	<br/> tags does not honor style tags. They will take the colors of
        the parent wml tag (for example <p> tag) and will not be allowed to
        override them.  
        
.	Text is printed after the image when embedded inside a anchor tag. 
	The page author can still achieve the desired affect be having two links
	... one with text and other with image inside the anchor tag.

.	Unsupported tag: <refresh> inside an <onevent> 

.	Phone remains in DHCP Discovery whenever a Site Specific Option String is
	longer than 245 characters.

UPGRADING a 4625 IP Telephone from the factory insatlled software.

·	Your 4625 IP telephone is installed with software from the factory.
	It is highly recommended that the factory software is upgraded to R2.5
	before being put into general service. The upgrade script included in
	this package will upgrade your 4625 IP Telephones to R2.5.  

WML WEB Browser Application Notes:

·	The WML Web Browser Application will use the
	Following format to specify User Agents:
	AVAYA/IGEN/vX.X+(4625x)/0.0 
	
	Where:
	·	Avaya: Company Name
	·	IGEN : Product Family Name
	·	v2.5 : Firmware version no 
	·	4625 : Set Type
	·	x    : Reserved Extensions·	
	·	0.0  : Minor Version Number
	
	For release 2.5 the User Agent Strings for
	the different set types are:
	·	4625 : AVAYA/IGEN/v2.5+(4625)/0.0

·	The WML Web Browser Application is built upon the LIBWWW HTTP
	stack from W3C and the expat XML parser toolkit from Thai Open 
	Source Software Center Ltd. Additional information on these 
	components is provided below.

·	The Application Interface Data Push functionality uses HTTP Server
        technology provided by GoAhead.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
