Compex UE202-A USB to Fast Ethernet adapter is an Ethernet adapter using USB port.
The USB port should have USB specification 1.1 (12Mbps).
It connects the notebook or PC to the LAN and can have a maximum performance
of up to 8Mbps.

This version of Compex UE202-A USB to Fast Ethernet Adapter has a small form
factor that you can plug directly to the USB port. A USB extender cable is
also provided. Both ends of the extender come with A-type connector, one end
is a male, the other end is a female.
For desktop PC you will no need to use the extender. However, on some notebooks,
you may need to use the USB extender if space is a constraint to plug on the
adapterto the USB socket.
Next after connecting the adapter you need is to connect a MDI (straight-through)
category 5 cable to the adapter RJ-45 socket (LAN port) and the other end to a
standard repeater hub or a ethernet switch. The UE202-A has auto-sensing or
auto-negotiation capability so it automatically connects at the highest speed the
repeater hub or ethernet switch supports.

The Compex UE202 USB 10/100Base-TX Fast Ethernet Adapter comes with a USB cable.
One end of the cable has a rectangular plug, which is called an A-type
connector. The other end of the cable has a square plug, or B-type connector.
The adapter has two ports. One is for RJ-45 UTP network cabling -- it
looks like and over-sized phone jack. The other port looks like a
square hole -- this is the USB B-type port.
1. Make sure your PC is powered on and that you are at the Windows 98
desktop.
2. Insert the cable's square B-type plug into the adapter's B-type
port.
3. Insert the other end of the USB cable (the A-type connector) into
the USB port on your PC. The adapter is now connected to your PC.
4. Connect the USB adapter RJ-45 socket (LAN port) using a standard
Category 5 UTP MDI (straight-through) cable to a standard repeater
or dual-speed hub or a switch with auto-sensing or auto-negotiation
capability.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
