Release notes for ResQ120 Version 2.01:
- Starting with v2.00, ResQ120 now supports the QIC standard
SOFTWARE DATA COMPRESSION algorithm. This feature allows you
to store, on average, at least twice the amount of data on a
tape than was possible with earlier versions of ResQ120.
NOTE: Backwards read compatibility IS NOT supported
with ANY Alloy tapes that were written using
'Alloy's Data Compression Algorithm'.
- ResQ120 v2.01 solves a number of PS/2 related problems, including:
- "Error 143" problems with Models 60, 70 and others;
- Very slow backups (DMA conflicts) on Model 95.
