USB 2.0 devices to operate as high-speed devices on a desktop PC.

Adaptec AUA-3100LP: USB 2.0 Host Adapter with 3 external and
1 internal port.
Adaptec AUA-3121: USB 2.0 / IEEE 1394 Combo Card.
3 external USB 2.0 ports and 2 external
IEEE 1394 ports. 1 internal USB 2.0 port
and 1 internal IEEE 1394 port.
Adaptec AUA-5100: USB 2.0 Host Adapter with 5 external and
1 internal port.

1.3 Mass storage devices:
=========================
If you are using a mass storage device that employ USB Storage Bridge
technology from In-System Design, Inc. you can download their latest
driver from: <http://www.in-system.com>. These drivers will only work
with certain USB storage devices containing ISD technology and if you
are unsure as to the type of USB bridge technology employed by your
storage peripheral, please contact the manufacturer of your USB storage
device.
The drivers from In-System Design, Inc., are compatible with Windows
98, Windows 98SE, Windows ME, and Windows 2000 and have been tested
extensively with the Adaptec USB 2.0 Driver and Adaptec USB cards.

3.0 Driver Limitations:
=======================
The following USB 2.0 devices and features are not supported
in this driver release:
1. USB 2.0 HUBs.
2. USB 2.0 Isochronous devices.
3. Composite USB 2.0 Devices.
4. USB Remote Wake Up.

3.1 Troubleshooting Info:
=========================
1. When using Windows ME, the Device Manager will have a green
question mark next to any USB 2.0 device which is connected
to an Adaptec USB 2.0 card. The device will continue to
function properly. This is an operating system feature.
2. When using Windows 98SE, if the system attempts to enter
in-active standby (S3 mode), the driver will only allow it to
enter standby (S1 mode).
3. When using Windows ME, the system may report that the
USB 2.0 CD-RW connected to an Adaptec AUA-2000LP card
does not contain any media when resuming from a suspend.
To workaround this issue; use the "unplug or eject hardware"
icon in the system to remove the USB 2.0 CD-RW. Unplug the
USB 2.0 CD-RW from the card, and then plug it back in.
4. When doing a hot-unplug/hot-plug, the system may not recognize
the USB 2.0 device. To workaround this issue, allow at
least 3 seconds between a hot-unplug and hot-plug.
5. When using Windows 2000, if two or more USB 2.0 devices are
disconnected using the "unplug or eject hardware" icon in the
system tray without physically removing the device, then when
one of the USB 2.0 devices is physically removed, the other
USB 2.0 device will re-enumerate. To workaround this issue,
hot-unplug each USB device you want to remove before using
the "unplug or eject hardware" icon to remove the next USB
device.
6. When using Windows 2000, with certain CD-RW applications
running, the system may stall if an USB CD-RW drive is
removed using the "unplug or eject hardware" icon in the
system tray.
7. When using Windows 98SE, Windows ME, and Windows 2000,
the system may not behave properly should it attempt to
enter active-standby (S3 mode).

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
