 Installing the AMB8100 NDIS4/3 Driver for Windows NT
 ----------------------------------------------------
 Windows NT 4.0 and 3.51 do not support CardBus PC cards automatically.
 However, the AMB8100 PC cards come with the drivers that support both
 platforms.

 I. Windows NT 4.0
 -----------------
  1. Insert the AMB8100 PC card.
  2. Click Start at the lower left corner.
  3. Choose Settings, then select Control Panel.
  4. In the Control Panel dialog box, double click the Network icon.
  5. In the Network Settings window, click Adapters.
  6. In the Network Adapters window, click Add.
  7. In the Select Network Adapter window, click Have Disk.
  8. Insert the AMB8100 User Installation/Diagnostics diskette,
     and click OK.
  9. From the Select OEM Option window, select AmbiCom 10/100 Ethernet
     CardBus PC Card and click OK.
 10. AmbiCom 10/100 Ethernet CardBus PC Card Setup screen appears.
     Click OK to save.
 11. In the Network Settings dialog box, click Close.
 12. Click Yes to reboot your computer.

 II. Windows NT 3.51
 -------------------
  1. Insert the AMB8100 PC card.
  2. Double-click Control Panel.
  3. In the Control Panel, double click the Network icon.
  4. In the Network Settings window, select Add Adapter.
  5. In the Add Adapter dialog box, scroll to select Other requires
     disk from manufacturer.
  6. Click Continue.
  7. Insert the AMB8100 User Installation/Diagnostics diskette into
     the floppy drive. Type a:\ and click OK.
  8. In the Select OEM Option window, click OK.
  9. Choose the AmbiCom 10/100 Ethernet CardBus PC card from the list
     and click OK.
 10. Click OK to accept the default settings for the AMB8100 PC card.
 11. Select the Transport Protocol.
 12. Click OK.
 13. Remove the diskette and click Restart Now.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
