		  Driver Installation Guide for WFW v3.11
	       =============================================

Introduction
============
    This document describes the procedure to install NDIS3 driver on MS
    Windows for Workgroups v3.11 station  for AEF-360TX Family PCI Fast
    Ethernet Adapter.

    Location of Driver: \WFW311\RTSND.386


Installation Procedure
======================
    1. When installing Windows for Workgroups 3.11, you are prompted for
       a network driver. Select the "Unlisted or Updated Network Driver".

    2. Insert the RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet Adapter driver disk
       containing OEMSETUP.INF and RTSND.386 files.

    3. Specify the directory for the driver (A:\WFW311) and select the
       Adapter driver.

    4. Select Advanced options, and make sure the parameters match the
       card settings. Check keyword "EtherID", which is provided by
       RTSND.386. The installation program copies the necessary files
       and creates PROTOCOL.INI for use with the adapter.

    5. Continue the installation per Windows for Workgroups instructions.


    Existing Windows for Workgroups Installation:
    ---------------------------------------------
    1. Select the "Network Setup" icon in the Network Group.

    2. Select the "Driver.." button.

    3. Select the "Add Adapters.." button.

    4. Select "Unlisted or Updated Network Adapter"

    5. Insert the adapter driver disk with OEMSETUP.INF and RTSND.386 and
       specify the path A:\WFW311.

    6. Select the RTL8139 PCI Fast Ethernet adapter driver.

    7. The installation program copies the necessary files and
       creates PROTOCOL.INI for use with the adapter.

    8. Select "Close" and when prompted, restart computer for changes to
       take affect and complete the installation.

    Note:  You must have a terminated cable attached to the adapter when
	   you start Windows for Workgroups.  If you don't, Windows  for
	   Workgroups hangs.


    To add NetWare:
    ---------------
    1. Select the "Network Setup" icon in the Network Group.

    2. Select the "Network" button.

    3. Select the "Drivers.." button.

    4. Select the "Setup.." button.

    5. Select "Driver Type " and change to ODI Driver.

    6. Select "OK" and close the Network icon.

    7. Select reboot computer and restart Windows.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
