1. New Features and Fixes

R1.80: Version 6.08 (Application), 5.50 (BOOT code)

- The Secure Web Browser and the Embedded Authentication Server for 802.1x are only available
  on the 2100D/2101B, and newer Access Point hardware.

- Embedded Authentication Server (EAS)
-- For 802.1x Authentication: The Access Point (2100D/2101B and newer) can function as a RADIUS Server.  
   We are calling this our EAS (Embedded Authentication Server).
-- For MAC Address Authentication: Any of the Intermec AP's will provide this capability.

- User Interface enhancements
-- The configuration summary web browser interface will now highlight in 'blue', any settings that
   are not the default settings.
-- User interface enhancements of: check boxes to enable/disable a feature, menu pull down options.

- Security Enhancements
-- Secure (HTTPS) Web Browser interface has been added.
-- Several new security events have been added to identify potential attacks on the system.
-- RADIO Filters for WTP, UDP+ and SVP protocols have been added.
-- Secure Wireless Hops are now supported that utilize WEP Key rotation.

NOTE: The default server certificate (common name = ValidForHTTPSOnly) included with this software release 
is intended for testing/loading certificates only. When deploying to a customer facility, a more 
formal/unique server certificate needs to be obtained.  This can be purchased from Intermec (Call your local 
Intermec sales rep or 1-800-934-3163) using part number: 072931.

2. Installation Notes
*****************************************************************************
We are providing a 'WEB upgrade' only version of our software on the Intermec website.  For
details on how to install this software, please refer to the 'Software Upgrade Instructions'
on the Intermec website at www.intermec.com or mobilelan.intermec.com, software downloads.

If you have a version of software on your MobileLAN access point that is prior to R1.50, then please
install the R1.50 version from the website. After this, you will be able to use the WEB upgrade format.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
