Make sure you download the new CN2 Handheld Computer User's Manual (P/N 075464-003), which describes all the new features 
included in Release 2.  Follow these steps:

     1. Go to www.intermec.com and click Service & Support > Manuals. 
     2. Select Computers:CN2 Mobile Computer from the drop-down list, and a list of all manuals available for CN2 appears.  
     3. Click CN2 Handheld Computer User's Manual to open the PDF file. 
     4. Choose File > Save to save the PDF file to your computer. 

     Or you can order a printed version of this manual through your local Intermec representative or distributor.




Follow these instructions to update a terminal:

     1) Format an SD card using FAT16.
     2) Unzip the upgrade zip file to the SD card.

     NOTE: Be sure to use folder names when extracting files to the SD card.

     For Scroll (10-key) Terminal:
     3) Insert Card into a terminal and Cold boot while pressing the "DOWN" arrow button on the keypad.

     For Numeric (18-key) Terminal:
     3) Insert Card into a terminal and Cold boot while pressing the "8" button on the keypad.

     4) Select "4. Reset Registry" and press the ENTER key on the terminal.
     5) Select "3. Update Bootloader + OS" from the boot loader menu and press the ENTER key on the terminal.

     NOTE: Power needs to be applied to the terminal via a modem or communication dock to successfully update 
           the Bootloader and OS image.

     6) Once the update is done, select "5. Cold Boot" and press the ENTER key on the terminal.
     7) At this point the terminal will boot up and a "Copying files from SD to DoC" message should be displayed.  
        The terminal will automatically reboot once this step is complete.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
