I. NOTES ON SETUP FOR DOS AND WINDOWS 3.0/3.1
---------------------------------------------

  Introduction
  ------------------

The KODAK TableMaker has two versions, one version is for Windows 3.x and
  another version for the DOS.

Microsoft Windows version 3.0 or later is required for TableMaker (Windows
version) to run properly. If you have not yet installed Windows 3.0 or later,
it is recommended that you do this before installing TableMaker.

This document is not properly formatted for use with Microsoft Word for
Windows. It is intended for the user who does not have Microsoft Word for
Windows and would like more information. It can be opened in Microsoft Word
for Windows and reformatted if desired.

  Deleting Old Tables
  -------------------
Before you install your new TableMaker, make sure you delete your old tables
and any other printer table file from your \WINDOWS directory.

If you have created any file that you will like to save, retain that file
and after installing TableMaker, copy it over to the \TBLMAKER directory or
\TBLMAKER\TABLES subdirectory, then delete it from your \WINDOWS directory.

  The APPEND Command
  ------------------
SETUP may not work properly if you have used the MS-DOS APPEND command.
If APPEND is in effect, then remove it before running Setup by typing

       APPEND;

at the DOS command line (include the semicolon).

  PATH Modifications
  ------------------
If you have would like to startup TableMaker from anywhere, you may
want to add the TableMaker full pathname to the PATH statement in your
AUTOEXEC.BAT file. If you exceed the DOS limit of 127 characters, you
will have to switch to (or specify) the directory containing the
TableMaker file you want to run.

II. PRINTING THE README.TXT FILE
------------------------------------

  To Print this file
  ------------------

Determine which port you have a printer connected to (LPT1: will be used
  for this example). Then type:

    COPY README.TXT LPT1:

and then press ENTER. This file will be printed on your printer.

Note: This procedure will not work with a PostScript printer. If you have
the full Windows package (not a runtime version of Windows) and it is
set up to print on a PostScript printer, you can open this document
in Microsoft Windows Write to print it on your PostScript printer.

IV. USING THE ADVANCED COLOR MATCHING FILES
  -------------------------------------------

     The Excel Spreadsheet files
     ---------------------------
The .XL$ files are EXCEL 3.0 for Windows compressed files.
After the installer decompresses them they will become .XLS, .XLC,
.XLM, and .XLW files. They have not been tested on EXCEL versions
     older than 3.0.

To use them, start EXCEL, and open ADVCOLRW.XLW, which is an EXCEL
workspace file that opens the spreadsheet, graph, and macro files to
their proper sizes to fit on a standard 640x480 VGA screen.
