indicate the current versions of printer software and printer hardware. You should

CAUTION ... PRINTER vs FIRMWARE
THE FILES v509eng.rs AND v115GO.rs WERE WRITTEN FOR UPGRADING A KODAK 8660

PRINTER. DOING SO MAY CAUSE YOUR PRINTER TO BECOME INOPERABLE AND MAY
REQUIRE A SERVICE CALL AND A NEW ENGINE BOARD TO RESOLVE.

THE MEDIA FILE WHICH IDENTIFIES THE RIBBON AND PAPER CHARACTERISTICS OF THE
MEDIA YOU ARE USING WILL NEED TO BE LOCATED.
Click <OK> to search for the media file. The media file will be in the same
folder as the Downloader Utility. Highlight the media file
(Kodak 8660 Media V160.RTB) and click open.
CAUTION ... DOWNLOADS vs PRINTER INTERFACES
Printer firmware may be downloaded via the printer's Parallel, SCSI or
Network Interfaces.
A direct (Parallel or SCSI) connection to the printer is recommended as the
simplest and most reliable means of upgrading your printer.
Downloading printer firmware via a network connection is not recommended
unless the printer is in a controlled network environment, the printer has
already been configured and tested for reliable network printing and there
is no possibility that other users will be attempting to print at the same
time.
