Kodak Professional Colorflow ICC Color Connector 1.2.0 for Microsoft Windows Platforms 1. Introduction 2. Installation 3. Quick Start 4. Additional Information 5. Version History 6. Known Bugs, Limitations, and Incompatabilities 7. Support ------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Introduction Color connector is a stand-alone application that allows you to make prints that match the colors produced by an input device such as a scanner or monitor. It also allows you to simulate a job as if it were printed on a commercial printing press. You do this by creating transforms or profile link documents that contain color management information specific to the input device you are using such as a scanner or a digital camera, your monitor, and your output device such as the 8650 printer. 2. Installation 1. Run setup.exe from the directory. 2. Follow the prompts of the installation program. The following software is installed on your PC: PROGRAM FILES\KODAK\COLORFLOW\COLOR CONNECTOR - COLORFLOW COLOR CONNECTOR.EXE - COLORFLOW COLOR CONNECTOR.HLP - COLORFLOW COLOR CONNECTOR.CNT - PSLABPCS.ICM - KODAK.KCC - UNINST.ISU - KODAKCMS.DLL - MFC42.DLL [DEFAULT ICC PROFILES DIRECTORY] - 8670 4COLOR PHOTO.ICM - 8670 4COLOR COMM.ICM - 8670 4COLOR PUB.ICM - 8670 4COLOR TRANS.ICM - 8670 3COLOR PHOTO.ICM - 8670 3COLOR TRANS.ICM - 8660 3color photo r3.icm - kodak srgb.icm - prophotorgb.icm - b22g15m7.icm - b22g18m7.icm - b22g22m7.icm - ebug15m7.icm - ebug18m7.icm - ebug22m7.icm - p22g15m7.icm - p22g18m7.icm - p22g22m7.icm - 315_strobe_linear.icm - 315_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 315_strobe_std_product.icm - 330_strobe_linear.icm - 330_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 330_strobe_std_product.icm - 420_strobe_linear.icm - 420_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 420_strobe_std_product.icm - 460_strobe_linear.icm - 460_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 460_strobe_std_product.icm - 520_620_strobe_lin_portrait.icm - 520_620_strobe_lin_product.icm - 520_620_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 520_620_strobe_std_product.icm - 560_660_strobe_lin_portrait.icm - 560_660_strobe_lin_product.icm - 560_660_strobe_std_portrait.icm - 560_660_strobe_std_product.icm - 5xx_6xx_330_std_acquire.icm - rfs2035m.icm - rfs_3570_ektachrome_v1.3.icm 3. Quick Start You create color connector files by extracting source transforms, simulation transforms, and printer transforms from ICC profiles. These transforms are represented as puzzle pieces. Drag each selected puzzle piece to an empty socket in the color connector template for your job. Each type of transform is represented by a particular shape. Match the shape of the transform with the shape of the socket in the template. With color connector you can color manage multiple source images on a single page. The template contains six sockets to allow separate color management for the six different kinds of source images. The color connector file you create can be applied to your print job or stored in the printer as a default. 4. Additional INFORMATION In the \Library\Profiles on this CD-ROM are some useful ICC Profiles for proofing as well as generic profiles for various input devices. For more information look in \Library\Profiles. 5. VERSION HISTORY Changes since V1.0.2 -------------------- * Subdirectories are searched when finding ICC Profiles. (V1.2.0) * Default ICC Profiles directory is detected for Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows98.(V1.2.0) * User must input a Device Link Profile Description String when a device link profile is saved.(V1.2.0) * Searching performance has been improved. (V1.2.0) Version 1.0.2 - First product release. -------------------- 6. Known Bugs, Limitations, and Incompatabilities - The Gamut Alarm option is not disabled for ICC Profiles that don't have LUT tags.
