INSTALLATION

IMPORTANT: Installing to the same directory as a previous version of EasySet will uninstall the previous version.
If you want to keep your previous version of EasySet as well as the new version, rename your existing EasySet directory before you install the new version.
The following products are not included in this install package:
- MaxiScan 1000, MaxiScan 2100, MaxiScan 2200, MaxiScan 3010, MaxiScan 3100, MaxiScan 3300

- IMPORTANT: For version 2.00 of EasySet, you must perform the "bdeinst" setup procedure before you can use EasySet !!! BDE is necessary for the terminal selector function provided for ScanPlus S Series products.
- bdeinst setup procedure:
1. - cd-rom: Go to the easyset\bdeinst\disk1 directory on the cd-rom.
- diskettes: Open the bdeinst1 - disk1 diskette.
- download from the Web / Lotus Notes: Extract bdeinst.zip to your disk (Use Folder Names option active) and go to the bdeinst\disk1 directory.
2. Run setup.exe.
3. Reboot your machine when setup is complete.
4. Go to the IDAPI directory and run bdecfg.exe.
5. Open the Alias page and click New Alias.
6. Enter the alias for your product (spss for ScanPlus S Series) and click OK.
7. Enter the pathname of your EasySet directory (example: c:\easyset) in the PATH field.
8. Save your BDE configuration (File - Save) and quit bdecfg.exe.
9. Run EasySet.

Download Driver Pack
After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
