Installing Drivers under Windows NT 4.0
======================================================================

In order to install the correct driver for your 3Com modem under
Windows NT 4, you first need to identify your modem's model number.

To find your modem's model number:

 1. Remove your computer's cover and remove the modem from its slot.
 2. Locate the small white sticker attached to the phone cable
connector. The label has a bar code and several sets of numbers
    printed on it.
 3. The middle of the label will have an eight digit number starting
with "66" - the next four digits of this number is your modem's
    model number.

To install the Windows NT 4 driver for your modem, insert the CD-ROM
and run the SETUP.EXE program from the folder corresponding to your
modem's model number plus the letters "NT." For example, if your
modem's model number is 2975, run the SETUP.EXE program found in the
2975NT folder.

If you have model number 1749 or 1787, there is no SETUP.EXE program.
The driver files for these two models are in the main directory of
the CD-ROM. When adding the modem to your system using the MODEMS
applet in the Control Panel, indicate that you have a driver disk
and point the system to the CD-ROM.

For further information about modem installation, please check the
modem manual located elsewhere on this CD-ROM.
