     This document supplements the "Ositech Four of Diamonds Ethernet User's
Guide" and the accompanying software.  Please read this document in its
entirety before installing this software.

     This document contains information specific to this "Four of Diamonds
Trumpcard SCO Unix and UnixWare Drivers Diskette".  More general, up-to-date
information on Version 1.10 of the Ositech Four of Diamonds Trumpcard
software, including a directory map of all text/readme files on all
diskettes, can be found in the README.TXT file located on the "Four of
Diamonds Trumpcard Installation for Win 3.x / 95 / NT, Diagnostics and
Utilities Diskette".

1.   Description of Files

     This diskette contains the Trumpcard network drivers/enablers for the
SCO Unix and UnixWare operating systems.


1.1  SCO Unix

     Included with your new Trumpcard are LLI drivers for use with SCO Unix
System V Release 3.2 (versions 4.2 and 5.0.0) and MDI drivers for use with
SCO Unix System V Release 3.2 version 5.0.0.  The LLI driver (version 1.0.2c)
can be found in the \UNIX\SCO and the MDI driver (version 1.1.1) is located
in the \SCO directory.


1.2  UnixWare (v1.1 and v2.0x)

     Included with your new Trumpcard are network drivers for UnixWare
(versions 1.1 and 2.0x).  The driver package version is 1.12.  These drivers
are found in the \UNIX\UW directory.

     Also included in this release are drivers to perform a network install
using the Trumpcard.  These can be found in the \UNIX\UW\NET_INST directory.

     For more information on all of these drivers, including installation
instructions and requirements, please read all the README files in the
\UNIX\UW directory and the NET_INST.TXT file in the \UNIX\UW\NET_INST
directory.

1.3  UnixWare (v2.1)

     Included with your new Trumpcard are the files that will work with the
UnixWare v2.1 install procedure to allow the user to properly perform a
network install of UnixWare v2.1 using an ethernet Trumpcard.  The software
version is 1.25CM.

     These can be found in the \UNIXWARE\OTCETH and \UNIXWARE\OTCETH\LOCALE
directories.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
