1. Introduction

OTCFRAME is a utility which locates servers on a Novell NetWare network under
single or multiple Ethernet Frame Types.

In the default mode, OTCFRAME scans all specified frame types and reports all
servers found. Once the user selects a server, OTCFRAME modifies the
appropriate startup files removing itself from the startup sequence. When
the user reboots, the computer will automatically connect to the server
previously selected using the appropriate frame type required.

In the Verbose mode (/v), OTCFRAME additionally lists every server available
on each frame type, including servers advertising on multiple frame types.

In the Run Always mode (/a), OTCFRAME does not modify the startup files and
continues on with the network connection each time without need to restart
the computer. In addition, the Run Always mode of OTCFRAME returns an
errorlevel code which can be tested in AUTOEXEC.BAT to determine what network
conditions exist.

For OTCFRAME to operate properly it MUST always follow the Trumpcard OTCETH
ODI driver and precede IPXODI, for example:

              ...{other commands in Autoexec.bat)...
              C:\NETWARE\LSL
              C:\NETWARE\OTCETH
              C:\NETWARE\OTCFRAME <switches>
              C:\NETWARE\IPXODI
              C:\NETWARE\NETX
              ...{rest of AUTOEXEC.BAT}...

2. Installation

OTCFRAME must be placed in the same directory as LSL.COM, OTCETH.COM,
IPXODI.COM and NETX.EXE (or VLM.EXE). It is run after OTCETH. The NET.CFG
file should be modified to include all frame types, OTCFRAME will only scan
for servers on the frame types found in NET.CFG.

       eg:
          Link Driver OTCETH
             Frame Ethernet_802.2
             Frame Ethernet_802.3
             Frame Ethernet_II
             Frame Ethernet_SNAP

3. Execution Switches

 /a - Run Always Mode

Does not modify the config/startup files. Returns an errorlevel
which can be used in batch files. (see RETURN CODES)

 /t - Text Only Mode

Runs OTCMODE in a straight text i/o (uses DOS standard i/o)

 /w - Window Mode

Forces OTCFRAME to override the Text Mode test which may switch
it to Text Only Mode. Use only if you are sure that you run
OTCFRAME from 80x25 VGA text mode.

 /v - Verbose Mode / Advanced Mode

Displays frame type information to access Servers. Allows more
           advanced decisions.

21 - Windows 3.x running. OTCFRAME cannot run under Windows
