Value sound card. Windows XP Installation 1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel. In Control Panel, double-click the System icon. 2. In the System Properties dialog box, click the Device Manager tab. On the Device Manager tab, under Other Devices, double-click PCI Multimedia Audio Device. 3. In the PCI Multimedia Audio Device Properties dialog box, click Reinstall Driver. 4. In the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Specify the location of the driver (Advanced), and then click Next. 5. Click Search for a better driver than the one your device is using now (Recommended), and then select the Specify a location check box. If the Removable media check box is selected, clear it. 6. Type the location of the downloaded driver files you extracted, for example, C:\drivers\7510917. Click Next. 7. Click Next to install the Creative SB Live! Value (WDM) drivers. A Copying Files dialog box opens. 8. In the Update Device Driver Wizard dialog box, click Finish to complete the driver installation. 9. In the Creative SB Live! Value (WDM) Properties dialog box, click Close. 10. In System Properties dialog box, under Other Devices, double-click PCI Input Controller. 11. In the PCI Input Controller Properties dialog box, click Reinstall Driver. 12. After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.
Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).
If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.
Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.
Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.
Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.
From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.
Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.
Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
