NT Domain Management Sample

Introduction:

This sample application demonstrates the features provided by NDS Corporate 
Edition Domain Control.

This sample allows you to add or remove users from NDS Domain object and  
domain-group of an existing domain. Users can also modify their passwords using 
this sample.

NDS for NT synchronizes the addition or deletion of users in Windows NT 
and the NDS database. 

Important: The sample requires a Domain object to be present in the NDS tree. For this, 
a Windows NT workstation should have NDS for NT installed on it and must be a part of 
the NDS tree.


To add a user to an NDS Domain object:

1. Enter the full name of the user.

2. Enter the full name of the domain to which the user object is to be added. 

3. Click Add To Domain to add the user to the specified domain object.


To add a user to the local or global group of an existing domain:

1. Enter the full name of the user.

2. Enter the full name of the domain to which the Domain Group Object belongs. 

3. Enter the name of the local or global group to which the user is to be added. 

4. Click Add To Group to add the user to the specified group.


To remove a user from an NDS Domain object:

1. Enter the full name of the user.

2. Enter the full name of the domain to which the user object belongs. 

3. Click Remove From Domain to delete the user from the specified domain object.


To remove a user from the local or global group of an existing domain:

1. Enter the full name of the user.

2. Enter the full name of the domain to which the Domain Group Object belongs. 

3. Enter the name of the local or global group to which the user belongs. 

4. Click Remove From Group to delete the user from the specified group.


To change the password:

1. Enter the full name of the user.

2. Enter the new password to be set for the user.

3. Enter the old password of the user.

4. Set ExpirePassword to Yes if you want the newly set password to expire after 40 days.

5. Click Reset Password.

How To Update Drivers Manually

After your driver has been downloaded, follow these simple steps to install it.

  • Expand the archive file (if the download file is in zip or rar format).

  • If the expanded file has an .exe extension, double click it and follow the installation instructions.

  • Otherwise, open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start menu and selecting Device Manager.

  • Find the device and model you want to update in the device list.

  • Double-click on it to open the Properties dialog box.

  • From the Properties dialog box, select the Driver tab.

  • Click the Update Driver button, then follow the instructions.

Very important: You must reboot your system to ensure that any driver updates have taken effect.
