Readme.txt Driver File Contents (novell-activex_ndap-devel-2005.10.06-1windows.zip)

This document describes the Import Users and Application Associations
VB sample application.

Controls used:
   Microsoft Windows Common Controls 5.0
   Novell Directory Control
   Novell Application Administration Control

Description:
This sample makes use of the Novell Directory Control and imports user information
given in a text file to an NDS tree. It also imports the application association
information from a text file and associates NAL application objects to a list of users.

The sample lists the user information under a given context in a list view.
The application associations are listed through a tree view.
The context under which the users and applications are to be listed should be specified in
the Fullname format of the directory control.

For example:
NDS:\\NOVELL_INC\novell\asia-pac\india\blr\eng

The text file to be used for importing users should separate the fields using commas.
It has the following format:
LoginName, Surname, FirstName, Position, Location, Telephone, Fax

USERS.CSV is a sample file of the above format.

The text file for importing application associations also is comma separated. Here the
application short name is given in the text file, since the context is taken from the given
Fullname. The user name is the Fullname of the user, because the user who will use the
application could be in any context in the tree.
Format:
AppName, NDS Fullname of user

Example:
MSWord, NDS:\\NOVELL_INC\novell\asia-pac\india\blr\eng\SVikram
MSWord, NDS:\\NOVELL_INC\novell\asia-pac\india\blr\fin\TMathew

ASSOCS.CSV is a sample file for application associations
